سيناريست، و مخرجة، و ممثلة رواندية، حاصلة على ماجيستر في العلاقات الدولية و مستفيدة من تكوين سينمائي. تهتم كاتارانا غاهجيري بقضايا الهوية و الانتماء و ذلك من خلال أجناس متعددة تتخطى الحدود التي تربط بين أروبا و إفريقيا الشرقية.
خلال إستفادتها من الإقامة 5x5x5 Kurzfilmtage Winterthur (سويسرا 2019)، كتبت و أخرجت كاتارانا «Ethereality»، فيلم قصير يتناول مشاكل الهجرة و الشغور بالانتماء، وشارك الفيلم في عدة مهرجانات دولية: المهرجان الدولي للفيلم بنمير بلجيكا (2021)، و المهرجان الدولي للفيلم بشيكاغو (2020)، و مهرجان كليرمان فيران (2020) و الفيسباكو (2021).
كما أن فيلمها الطويل الأول «البساط الأحمر» نال شهرة واسعة، و حاز على العديد من الجوائز، منها جائزة TV5Monde لأحسن فيلم طويل ناطق بالفرنسية، و جائزة أحسن إخراج.
شاركت كاتارانا في عدة إقامات منها Realness Institute Residency بإفريقيا الجنوبية…
اقتحمت غاهجيري عالم التمثيل بلعبها دولاا في فيلم «رأفة الغابة» لجويل كاراكيزي، و قد نال الفيلم الحصان الذهبي بالفيسباكو سنة 2019، وجائزة السيناريو بمهرجان السينما الإفريقية خريبكة في دورته 21 (2018).

Cinéaste, réalisatrice, actrice rwandaise titulaire d’un Master en Relations Internationales et d’une formation en cinéma. Elle traite des questions d’identité et d’appartenance, à travers divers genres, au-delà des frontières, reliant l’Europe et l’Afrique de l’est.
Kantarama a écrit et réalisé Ethereality, un court-métrage sur l’immigration et le sentiment d’appartenance lors de la Résidence 5x5x5 aux Kurzfilmtage Winterthur (Suisse 2019). Le film a été sélectionné à Namur International Film Festival (2021), au Chicago International Film Festival (2020) à Clermont-Ferrand (2020) et au FESPACO (2021).
Tapis Rouge, son premier film, a été projeté et récompensé dans le monde entier, dont le Prix TV5Monde du Meilleur Long Métrage Francophone et celui de la Meilleure Réalisation, suivi d’une sortie en salles en Suisse et en France (2017).
Kantarama a participé aux résidences Realness Institute Residency (Afrique du Sud 2018), Artists in Residency – AIR (Australie 2019), La Fabrique Cinéma au 72e Festival de Cannes (2019), Zurich Film Festival Masterclass (Suisse 2019), au Moulin d’Andé – Résidence CÉCI (France 2021) et à Berlinale Talents (2021).
Kantarama a également fait ses débuts de comédienne dans le film La Miséricorde de la Jungle de Joël Karekezi, lauréat de l’Etalon d’or du Yennenga au FESPACO 2019 et le prix du scénario de la 21ème édition du Festival du Cinéma Africain de Khouribga 2018.

Kantarama Gahigiri is a Rwandan filmmaker, director, and actress with a master’s degree in International Relations and a training in the cinema. She deals with questions of identity and membership, across various genres and borders, connecting Europe and East Africa.
Kantarama wrote and directed Ethereality, a short film on immigration and the sense of belonging during the 5x5x5 Residence at Kurzfilmtage Winterthur (Switzerland 2019). The film was selected at Namur International Film Festival (2021), at the Chicago International Film Festival (2020) at Clermont-Ferrand (2020) and at FESPACO (2021).
Her first film ‘Tapis Rouge’ was screened and rewarded all over the world, including the TV5Monde Prize for Best Francophone Feature Film and Best Director, followed by screening the film in Switzerland and France (2017).
Kantarama participated in the residencies Realness Institute Residency (South Africa 2018), Artists in Residency – AIR (Australia 2019), ‘La Fabrique Cinéma’ at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival (2019), Zurich Film Festival Masterclass (Switzerland 2019), Moulin d’Andé – Residence CÉCI (France 2021) and Berlinale Talents (2021).
Kantarama started her acting career in the film ‘The Mercy of the Jungle’ by Joël Karekezi, winner of the ‘Etalon d’or du Yennenga’ at FESPACO 2019 and the screenplay prize of the 21st edition of Khouribga African Film Festival 2018.

ازداد خالد الحجر بالسويس (مصر). و حصل على ديبلوم في الحقوق من جامعة القاهرة سنة 1987، و عمل مساعد مخرج بالقاهرة في العديد من الأفلام الوطنية و الدولية. استقر خالد سنة 1989 بانجلترا و حصل فيما بين 1990 و 1994 على ديبلوم السلك الثالث في الإخراج تخصص أفلام روائية من المدرسة الوطنية للفيلم و التليفزيون بالمملكة المتحدة. تصدر فيلمه «الشوق» (2011) سوق التذاكر بمصر أسبوعا قبل ثورة 2011، كما نال جائزة الهرم الذهبي كأحسن فيلم دولي ، و جائزة أحسن دور نسائي بالمهرجان الدولي للفيلم بالقاهرة سنة 2010، إضافة إلى أن هذا الفيلم يعتبر البوابة الرسمية التي دخلت عبره مصر إلى مسابقة الأوسكار سنة 2012.
«غرفة للإيجار»، الذي أخرجه الحجر بإنتاج انجليزي و فرنسي، و من بطولة كل من جولييت لويس، و ريبير غراف سنة 2001، فقد نال عدة جوائز كبرى في العديد من المهرجانات. أخرج خالد و كتب أو شارك في الكتابة لخمسة أفلام قصيرة، و تسعة طويلة منها «حب النساء»، و «الأقصر» و «غرفة للإيجار»… و قد شاركت هذه الفلام في أكثر من 150 مهرجان سينمائي دولي. و في سنة 2014 فقد أخرج الحجر أربع سلسلات تليفزيونية

Khaled El Hagar est né à Suez, en Égypte. Il a obtenu un diplôme en droit à l’Université du Caire en 1987. Il a travaillé comme assistant réalisateur dans des films nationaux et internationaux au Caire. En 1989, il s’installe en Angleterre et de 1990 à 1994, il obtient un diplôme de troisième cycle en réalisation de films de fiction à la National Film and Television School, au Royaume-Uni. Son film El Shooq (Lust) (2011) était numéro un au box-office égyptien une semaine avant la révolution de 2011 et a remporté le prix du meilleur film international, de la pyramide d’or et de la meilleure actrice au Festival international du film du Caire 2010. El Shooq (Lust) était l’entrée officielle de l’Egypte aux Oscars en 2012. Son film britannique Room to Rent, mettant en vedette Juliette Lewis et Rupert Graves, a été réalisé en Angleterre et en France en 2001 et a remporté des prix majeurs, dont le meilleur film international au festival du film de Fayle et les prix du public au festival du film de Turin et au festival du film de Cologne. Khaled a travaillé en Egypte, Angleterre, Allemagne, France, Jordanie. Il a

Ses films ont été projetés dans plus de 150 festivals de cinéma internationaux, dont Turin ; Rotterdam ; Montréal ; New York ; Londres ; Cork, Oslo, Stockholm et Le Caire. Il a remporté 40 prix internationaux et nationaux pour ses films. De 2011 à 2014, Khaled a réalisé quatre séries dramatiques télévisées primées, dont Shoubra Square, coproduites par la BBC, Laila’s Wedding, Shams et The Thug.
